Magdalena Los' artistic practice is based on a conceptual, mostly pictorial or painterly ap-proach. Los' digitally collaged imaginary spaces combine pictorial reference systems and are restless amalgams of a series of discursive, material or temporary references—that is, in Los's artistic practice the works constantly permeate each other. Alternately surreal, comic-like, or naturalistic, the motifs are sketchily layered and constantly revolve around the relationship between work, time, and value, with humor and seriousness always in balance. In the process, the recurring questions "What do I want?" and "What can I do?" illuminate the specific realm between desire and powerlessness, addressing visibility, selection processes, and the contextualization of art.

Recent exhibitions: Artothek, Cologne 2022, Bonner Kunstverein, 2021 as well as PiK Cologne, in the Klosterruine Berlin, in the Falckenberg Collection Hamburg, all 2020, in the Kunstverein Harburger Bahnhof and in the Bärenzwinger Berlin, 2019.

MUHRY was founded in 2018 by Florentine Muhry as an exhibition space for young artists in Hamburg. Since 2020, the projects take place at changing locations, in August 2022 MUHRY is a guest at Residence NRW⁺ in Münster.
