Roger Rohrbach, Curator

Roger Rohrbach (b. in Wanne-Eickel) studied art history and German language and literature in Bochum, Düsseldorf and Graz. He was a research assistant at the Kunstmuseum Gelsenkirchen. As a curator, he has realised exhibitions at Kunsthaus Oberhausen, Kunstverein Hattingen, Museum Ludwig Koblenz, the Bochum Biennale and the Neuer Kunstverein Mittelrhein, among others. His work negotiates questions that relate to the perception of artistic positions, in interaction with space, time and the art pieces themselves. His curatorial practice thematises responsibility and blurred spheres of influence between artistic work, curating, documentation and perception. Exhibitions are realised in interwoven, narrative levels of meaning. Currently working freelance on curatorial projects and publications. Roger Rohrbach lives and works in the Metropole Ruhr.
