Lara Bader (born 1991 in Bielefeld) is an art historian, curator, art mediator and author. After working as a curatorial assistant for the pilot project Transparent Museum at the Hamburger Kunsthalle, she works today as a freelance art historian and curator in Hamburg. Her research focuses on modern and contemporary art, the practice and theory of collections and exhibitions as well as provenance research. She studied art-media-aesthetic education and educational science in Bremen as well as art history and museum management in Hamburg. In her curatorial projects, she focuses on the inclusion of intersectional perspectives and methods of critical art education and enjoys addressing socio-political questions. In the past, she has been involved in exhibition projects at institutions such as the Weserburg Bremen, the Böttcherstraße museums in Bremen, the Universum Bremen, the Emden Film Festival, the Kunsthalle Hamburg and the Renate Kammer Gallery in Hamburg. As 1st chairwoman in 2020-2023, she was responsible for the exhibition program of the off-gallery nachtspeicher23 e.V. in Hamburg and is one of the founding members of das kurativ e.V. Lara Bader
